  • Denzel Mensah | BAPT

Denzel Mensah The Fear of the Fifth (Function): The Function We Avoid, and Why its Integration is Intimate We tend to build our identity around our dominant function: our way of thinking, feeling, or perceiving that feels most natural. But in John Beebe’s model, just beyond our comfort zone sits the fifth function: a function that may feel underdeveloped, and one we may even actively resist. This session explores why the fifth function can feel so personal, disruptive, or uncomfortable to engage; how it shows up in moments of tension or defensiveness; and why its conscious integration can be unexpectedly supportive. Participants will actively explore their own fifth function through guided prompts, small-group discussion, and collective sense-making. Come prepared to reflect, engage, and experiment with a part of your type that is often overlooked yet quietly influential. Denzel Mensah is a certified Life, Personal Development, and Relationship Coach who uses his expertise on Typology to help strengthen relationships between people and foster intimacy both with others and themselves. • Brian Lawrence | BAPT

Brian Lawrence Reclaiming Human Agency in the Age of AI Evolving Type Through the Inner Wolves Framework As artificial intelligence increasingly shapes decision-making and identity, how do we preserve distinctly human agency? Drawing on 25 years of work in personality theory, this session explores how Type can evolve beyond static preference into a more dynamic model of inner multiplicity. The Inner Wolves framework reframes personality as an ecosystem of interacting forces rather than a fixed code. Participants will engage in reflective and interactive exercises to examine how conscious integration of inner energies expands flexibility, strengthens leadership, and deepens development in an algorithmic age. Brian Lawrence is an organisational psychologist and leadership consultant with over 20 years’ experience applying and teaching personality theory across multiple countries. A certified MBTI practitioner and former trainer of certification programs, he has worked extensively with leaders and teams exploring identity, development, and behavioural flexibility. Through his Inner Wolves framework, Brian examines human complexity as a dynamic ecosystem that extends beyond static type preferences. His work integrates personality theory, leadership development, and cultural analysis to explore how individuals can strengthen adaptability and reclaim human agency in an increasingly algorithmic world.
